Well it appears nest is preparing to shut down the api August 31 which means none of these services will work an more. We will just have to wait and see what happens..
If I can't have automatic humidity control I'll be buying an ecobee unit.

I have discovered that the problem is intermittent. When I check my logs I can see that when my custom functions scripts run that sometimes the 406 error will happen and other times it won't happen.

Some users are getting 406 errors and 502 bad gateway errors. This is an issue on the nest side and we just have to wait for them to fix it.

Unfortunately nest keeps that data seperate from what we are able to see in the API.

Which is odd because they let us see dehumidifiers, humidifiers and airwave usage.

Due to increase interest in Mynestreports.com I have increased the number of allowed users. I have opened up 40 more spaces.

I think I managed to catch and fix a major issues that were causing the scripts to stop running, Mainly the Automatic Humidity Control. I hope I got it fixed. Keep me posted if it no longer works and I will keep trying to make this better for all of us..

Hello,
We are currently having issues with the Custom options. It seems that nest may be restricting our ability to perform these functions for you. I am working on a fix. In the meantime if you can still manually login to save your usage history.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out why nest doesn't always send the thermostat name in the API it's a common problem with 3rd gen thermostats and even some 2nd gens. Thanks for the patience while I check it out..

If you log into mynestreports.com with your nest login you will see a list of available thermostats on the top menu. If you hover over that you will see a menu pop down and you will see "Custom Options" click on that and you will see all the available custom options available.

As far as I can tell nest doesn't provide that data...I don't see it as an available element/field.

Now that nest has enabled 2 factor authentication I have to rework my website. There  is no way I will be able to get custom functions working with 2 factor authentication because it logs in automatically about every hour to check in on youelr selections. So unfortunately if you want to use this site you won't be able to use 2 factor authentication.
